World Accreditation Day 2025

June 9th 2025 marks World Accreditation Day, a global initiative established by ILAC and IAF to promote the value of accreditation.

World Accreditation Day is the global initiative established by International Accreditation Forum (IAF) e all’International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC), to enhance and disseminate knowledge of certifications, inspections, tests and calibrations carried out under accreditation.

This year’s message highlights the importance of accreditation and conformity assessments for small and medium-sized enterprises, focusing on the essential role of SMEs in the global economy by fostering innovation, creating jobs, and supporting local communities.

Celebrate World Accreditation Day 2025

IAF and ILAC have organized an online event on June 9, spanning two time zones. In their presentations, the presidents of IAF and ILAC, UNIDO, and FSSC will highlight the role accreditation can play in strengthening small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). SMEs will also share their experiences illustrating how accredited conformity assessment has improved their business models. The event will showcase how accreditation supports SMEs across various sectors, demonstrating its importance in helping them adapt, grow, and lead in an ever-changing world.
