Safety policy
Accredia staff safety
“Safety and health in the workplace is a commitment that involves everyone, which is demonstrated not only by safe behavior in the performance of one’s work, but also by creating suitable working conditions to ensure that this is the case.”
“A modern country is also measured by its ability to create and maintain safe working environments.”
This is the message from the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, published on the Quirinale website on October 9, 2016, on the occasion of the 66th National Day for Victims of Accidents at Work.
Accredia shares this message and puts its meaning into practice by creating and maintaining healthy and safe work environments, aware that respect, well-being, and protection in the workplace help bring out the skills and knowledge of each individual.
This commitment is also reflected in the effective implementation and continuous updating of the health and safety management system, in accordance with the requirements of the model promoted by the Ministry of Labor and Social Policies on February 13, 2014, as a tool for small and medium-sized enterprises, in order to comply with the obligations set out in art. 30 of Legislative Decree 81/2008.
Accredia’s response to Covid-19
From emergency measures to opportunities for development. Accredia has transformed the pandemic crisis into an agile working model that has ensured continuity, with a view to growth and innovation.
The health emergency of the 2020-2023 has brought about profound changes in the world of work and has demonstrated how important the health and well-being of workers are in ensuring the continuity of economic and social activities.
In this context, Accredia has responded to the change by adopting all the protective measures required by health protocols in order to protect its employees and continue its mission as the sole national accreditation body supporting institutions.
To ensure the continuity of its mission, threatened by frequent lockdowns, Accredia has reorganized its work at all levels, promoting flexible working, videoconferencing, and remote assessments. This has required significant financial investment in the purchase of IT equipment and the adoption of functional and secure online platforms for data and information management, as well as a considerable organizational effort to share the new working procedures.
The Covid-19 emergency arrived suddenly and unexpectedly, bringing with it the sudden loss of “traditional” space-time constraints and imposing the need for rapid adaptation, which over time has become a real change in the pace and methods of work.
Today, this change, which at the beginning of the pandemic had created so much uncertainty, has become a real opportunity for development and innovation at Accredia, a legacy that will contribute to the growth of the organization in the coming years.
Objectives
Accredia renews its commitment to health protection. Its priorities include the green transition, the prevention of accidents and occupational diseases, and the management of future health crises.
With this in mind, Accredia is renewing its commitment to health protection, aligning its policy with the European strategic framework based on three key actions to be developed over the next few years:
- Managing the changes brought about by the green, digital, and demographic transitions in order to protect health.
- Preventing accidents at work and occupational diseases.
- Preparing for future health crises.
